Dear God

Dear God

A Poem by Emily Irene.

Dear God,
I'm writing you this letter
I saw something on the ten o'clock news...

A life taken, oh stop,
five.
A life taken, oh stop,
ten.
A life taken, oh stop,
twenty.
A life taken, oh stop,
one hundred.

Dear God,
I'm writing you this letter
to tell you to get up off your a*s
and save us from ourselves.

He is just the hand that turns the clockwork key, you know, and we are trammelled by desire to clack and spin and there we go.
