Remedy

Remedy

A Poem by Emily Irene.

A remedy is injected into my veins
as we wait for it to strike again.
A remedy is injected into my veins
as we wait for the clock to strike midnight.
A remedy is injected into my veins
as I wait for the dynamite to explode.
A remedy is injected into my veins
but it didn't work this time.
A remedy is injected into my veins
as I search the world over
for something to replace the pain.
