LIFE OF A POET

Being a poet is sometimes hard but it is all I got...

Poetry hasn`t always been my favorite.

I`ve always felt it defines being hurt and broken.

Mostly because pieces of heartbreaks are the most popular.

I was not willing to be defined by it; PAIN.

I decided to only stick to reading and listening and reading,

Never writing anything poetic, when I could avoid it.

And when I did write I never let it out;

I hid behind the curtains and let no one find out.

But later I realized it`s all I have.

Writing is more than a hobby for me;

It`s a healing process and a coping mechanism.

It is therapy and the best way to express myself.

With a pen and a paper is where I find comfort,

Cause I`m not used to staring in faces and whispering in ears.

Ink is the only way my secrets travel.

so I`m proud to be a poet...
