I am Shadow

I always wonder about the shadow

I am shadow.
My job is to mimic.
The light is my frame
The grounds are my stage
And the darkness is my curtain
At times I am noticed right away
And at times I am left astray
But I will still follow your way
To learn your emotions right away.
You cannot touch me for the way I am
But you may feel me for the things I do
From birth to death
I will always be there in your way

An interesting poem, I do like the subject of a shadow in it.
True, it will always be there by your side, which makes me think?
Is the shadow our best friend? he hears us and is always with us, althought its just a reflection from us.

I love the flow and the imagery of the "shadow." It flowed wonderfully and vivid imagery - I was thinking of my shadow in another way. Very clever. Reading it again, like it even more. Chang, very good writing. Thank you.

This poem was really neat! The rhyme scheme was fun and flowed nicely. It was sort of eerie. I feel like this could be taken as an extended metaphor for something other than a simple shadow. I love how I can truly take this and interpret it different ways!
