YOU WILL, YOU WILL

YOU WILL, YOU WILL

A Poem by tiya

My wings are strong, I want to fly

I’m two now, so Ma, can I, can I?

Oh little one, you are young still

A bit older and you will, you will.

Will I fly with eagles and hawks and doves?

Ma, will I fly high and touch the clouds?

Over the rainbow and higher still

Oh little one, yes you will, you will.

Will I float with the wind and go to places?

Will I make new friends and see new faces?

You will see much and do more still

Oh little one, yes you will, you will.

But if I go far can I still find home?

Or will I get lost, and roam and roam?

If you’re lost we’ll come find you still

Oh little one, yes we will, we will.
