Suck The Shine Out

Suck The Shine Out

Now;

My head’s all fuzzy

And my body’s all numb

And my wheels all busted

And my mind is all dumb

And I can’t think straight

With your rifle in my face

There’s suspicion in the air,

And oppression at the gates -

Bow to the whims of the directors of your fate

Kowtow to the wisdom of suppressors of your fate;

Die for your possessions even though they all fake

Hold on -

Time out, time out, time out,

Suck the shine out…

A generation of slaves

Wear with pride their blinged-out chains

Too conditioned, too afraid

To admit they’re not the same -

Extinguished, all your light

Left you groping in the night

Till the true, the good, the right

Is as darkness in your sight -

Every hope of dawn is gone

Engulfed in the black hole

So they saddle you with loans

Then they addle you with tomes

Keep you distracted looking fly,

Keep you instructed in their lies;

Fill your ears with false transmissions

Fill your eyes with televisions -

Hail the gods off glossy pages;

Run like hamsters in your cages

Blind to how hopeless your race is

Divided by tribes and races,

Let them put you through your paces

So complacent in your places

Hold on -

Time out, time out, time out,

Suck the shine out…

You’re Babylon’s buddy,

You’re Babylon’s buddy

Empire’s on fire

And your Sodom’s fiery flooded -

The power needs opponents

And the struggle needs to learn it,

The truth crystallizes;

And the future’s undetermined -

The media’s a joke

But a mind full of hope

Makes it easier to cope

So that you don’t feel the rope

As it sneaks around your throat

Till they throw you from the oak

Hold on -

Time out, time out, time out,

Suck the shine out…

Break free.
