My Own Exorcism

My Own Exorcism

A Poem by TTBoy28

Would you lie to me now

as you did when your two feet

could bring you to me willingly?

But the spirit feels the need to

fill a void that was not filled

Your presence is felt though the

sight of you would fail to startle

but to pity and want to know why

my souldid not or could not match

yours at the time you took me

for granted

And now you still do

If my blessing is what you need to

go

Then, so be it

But know that it is only for you

to go

Knowing you

You would think that I was taking You

for granted because of that

unconditional love

One would believe that you were a

parent and not a predator

.
. gut wrenching and heart breaking beyond measure ... the first three lines ... and the last five especially ... but this entire poem is just beautiful ... brutally beautiful ...
