A Single SmileA Poem by Blackrose22A little poem I made when I was bored about a girl who feels alond and how her life was changed by a tiny smile one day. The impact one little gesture has on a life. Please give feed backA Single Smile The corners of his mouth twitched just like that he flipped her heart's switch. She tried so hard not to care but then he strolled in hiding behind his long hair. She didn't know his name. But she could tell they were the same. Her whole life she spent invisible She tried acting so invincible. and with a pair of dimples he did the impossible he made her feel something incredible. She hid behind her make-up and different shades of black Her hair was dark and a smile is what she lacked She hid behind her emotionless mask But no one knew this was such a task. You could only tell by here eyes. even with her eyeliner she could never put them in a disguise If you looked into her eyes you could see her pain You'd be able to tell she was slowly going insane You'd be able to see all the years All her many fears How no one she ever cared for was sincere all of her shed tears. Her memories plagued her pools of crystal blue No one even knew No one cared to look at her hard enough, no one had a clue. Until the day he smiled at her, because then she saw it in him too. She needed to know his story, his feelings, everything She watched him in the hallway She couldn't get the nerve to spit out a single hey For so long she watched, but never spoke Until the day she lost all hope. She saw him with a girl She was just like him, This girl was all alone in the world but when they were together they were happy. The girl hid behind long bangs and smudgey mascara She watched them for so long, Sometimes pretended he was hers But in the end of the day he's something she'd never deserve She couldn't even talk and as she watched them walk She thought how he'd never know That with his smile, he saved her life she noticed how long it's been since she used her knife. He'll never know that he gave her a reason He gave her hope. He made her feel he made her happy. Though he didn't know That with a single smile. He changed her life, now she smiled too At people passing by. Sometimes thinking if any of them knew The magic a smile could do.
