The Death Of Me

The Death Of Me

A Poem by Tai-San

those who know know, and those who dont dont.

The Death Of Me

When I lay here,
I think of things I could have done.
Should have done.
Would have done.
I think about what could have been accomplished.
Then I remember who I am.
Who my family is.
They are the death of me.
They ruined me,
Ruined my future,
Ruined who I really am.
Now it would be all useless,
To try to arise from the ground.
Let me be buried in my family’s discontent,
Choking with each blow.
And slowly,
Painlessly,
Dying.
Forever more.

Awuh, that is really sad, the poem I mean. But deep and passionate. I liked it! And the metaphors too. :) Contridictive in some ways. :) But overall, this is a really great and amazing poem. I love it.

I love the metaphors that you use. I hope that a new you will be born from the ashes of this conflict; someone as bright as you was not meant to die in such pettiness as familial malcontent.
