Lightning

Lightning

A Poem by Tai-San

Lightning
Underneath that starry sky,
The pastel horizon loomed.
It washed away the bitterness,
Our stresses now entombed.

Beyond the beach,
Where sea glass lies,
Our blankets still remained.
Beneath the whims of wanting,
Our fantasies did lay.

Around the earth,
Despite the storm,
The memories sweet,
Our lashes warm.

It turned around,
Beneath out heels,
Like lightning bugs,
In a summer field.

The whips and stills,
We all go through,
That ghostly mist,
Plays history too.
