The Four Walls Closing In

The Four Walls Closing In

A Poem by Tala Cheyenne

Why do I feel the walls closing in
More and more every day i live?
An escape
Needed
My sight grows dim
The shadows dance
On those four walls closing in
What once was
Is no more
A self assurance
Lost
A sea of doubt
And clouded memories
To set the goal
Seems so far away
Blankly staring at
The uncertain future
Pacing and retracing
Each step that is made
The right
The wrong
Hell
Trying to push forward
Not sure if there is
Anything left to give
Keep moving on
A step at a time
Slipping
Falling
Sliding
These four walls closing in more
Everyday
I've got to get away
No where to run
No where to hide
Becoming one of those shadows
Dancing
On the walls

On the walls

Closing in.
