Imperfection

Imperfection

A Poem by Tali Longkumer

She weeps abundantly
beside me, without hesitation
and set me apart in two;

She laughs heartily
over me, even if it is her own,
then, one day, she painted the room blue,
when I wanted was another,
and with a smile later
we agreed on another!

She is but a child of differences,
and yet mother of my prayers,
and Oh! she still weeps abundantly,
beside me, without hesitation.

All through these years
I had dreamt of someone
with green beautiful eyes
like that in great movies
that comes in packages...

But I have lived through these years
knowing her, trying
and now, starting the journey
with all the differences
She is more
