Not just a Dream

Not just a Dream

A Story by Serenity

At first I thought that I was dreaming. That none of it was actually real. I couldn't believe that it was reality. But when the bus bumped and my head hit the window jostling me awake. I glanced down to find that it wasn't a dream, that it was indeed real. I could feel your soft breaths across my arms that were wrapped around you as you slept in my lap during the bus ride. I couldn't help but smile. I closed my eyes and curled closer, wrapping my arms further around you, not wanting to let you go. I couldn't believe that you were lying wrapped up in my arms. You looked so peaceful, calm, sweet. I relaxed, and I closed my eyes and smiled to myself as I slipped back into peaceful slumber, only to awake slightly later and repeat the entire scenario...
