Talking to Shadows

Talking to Shadows

A Poem by Serenity

All day starring at the ceiling

Talking to the shadows on my wall

All night listening to voices of the shadows

As they tell me stories about their once distant lives

Lying here I look around

And all I can think is

Am I just crazy?

Or can these walls really talk?

And if they could what would they say?

Do they have a story to tell as people just walk away?

Am I just crazy?

Or does it feel like these walls are crying?

And if they are than why?

Did something happen to make the time fly by?

As I lay here I realize that Im just letting life pass me by

And right now I don't know why?

But stay here and let us be

And I will show you a different side of me...

Reminds me of me when i fall into my "fucked up (parden the language) phases". And also reminds me of some of my poems. Ah shadows, i absolutely adore writing about them. They most definetly are creepy in terms of mental disturbance! Walls and shadows, it would either be amazing or horrifying to hear what they have to say. Think of all the things they witness, the walls witness of a home's inhabitants, or the shadows of thier caster. They both see all the secrets, all the sides unseen of a person. And so i especially understand the last two lines.. Excellent poem, i look forward to reading more from you.
