I'm Losing

I'm Losing

A Poem by Tanisha Rascoe
"

When a love is ended harshly, it is always hard to move on.

"

As I pass you on the street

My eyes catch your eyes.

I look to the concrete.

Memories of our past, and my heart dies

I remember your lips

How they'd trace my skin

Your words; hands on my hips

How you'd always win

The memory of every first time

Running and hiding

Our love was a crime

But the world kept turning

Our love fell down

First the kisses stopped

Your smiled turned to a frown.

The love bubble popped.

No more secrets

No more hiding

It's about time I should forget.

But I'm fighting memories and I'm losing.
