Missing you

Missing you

A Poem by Tarah
"

Written in November of 2006, about a boy I was with

"

Guilty
Guilt and tears
"Its all my fault"
Why do we feel so alone in this world?
Why do I feel alone?
Abandoned
No one to share souls with
Music and poetry may be beautiful
But what good are they when the one you should be sharing them with doesnt care anymore?
I have tied myself,
to a pole too powerful to break
A lonely place in emptiness
We share nothing anymore
I miss you
Youre right here, I know,
but thats not what I mean
I miss you
I miss the way things were
I miss the boy in a button-up white shirt holding a single red rose smiling with a kiss
Where did he go?
I miss our connection
We are holding onto memories
You once read poetry with me
wrote poety with me
Now you break songs
You quoted my bible...
"Bliss is the moments youre with me, when your gone my life hurts like hell and I'd do anything to make you happy..."
It was once true.
You always hated the last line
But i need that
need to know that
so tell me that...
"Even if it means setting you free, to be with someone else."
