Street Music

Take out the earphones,

the head phones and cell phones

Music is all around you,

not just on the devices

we play parodies,

we make it up as we go along

we sing really loudly

sometimes off key

slowly, softly, devoted we stay

Musically, we are united

We do it for entertainment,

maybe make a quick buck or two

but we do it for the passion

and make someone smile

We are everyday people

with a little talent and some luck

maybe we’ll make it through

Let the street music take you,

unite you with others

as we play for you, live and for free

we bring people together,

as others continue with their day

we’re here to tell you that it's okay

to stop for a little while

and relax as we play
