The World Must Revolve

The World Must Revolve

A Poem by Tracie D'Angelo
"

Written 15 February 1991

"

I don’t know what to do

And I don’t know what to say

The lambs are too silent

And time is too still

The sun always sets

Just as the moon always rises

And I, with myself,

Watch it all with no tears

yet an aching heart

I yearn to touch a star

And I wish to dance on rainbows

But where will it take me?

I know too well what I must do

Yet my head is in the clouds

Just as my feet are on the ground

And I’m thankful for the diversity

which is me

I yearn to touch a star...
The best line of all. I reckon this poem is one of those that are smilies and metaphors rolled into one awesome stanza.
