Marionette's Dirge

Marionette's Dirge

A Poem by Tracie D'Angelo
"

"

Marionettes hang

From your guiding hands

And in your laugh they cry

And through your bliss, their tears

Their troubles are always vacant

As their souls reach up to God

Who laughs and scoffs

While plaguing prayers

Swiftly passes by

They want from him their life

They cry to him for blood

But shall they ever have it

While hanging over Hell
