A Shade Tree

A Shade Tree

A Poem by Tracie D'Angelo
"

Nature’s speckled shadows

Lie tangled in the trees

And as I look up from under

I think they want to be free

But soon there passes a butterfly

And right after that a sparrow

The speckles show their beauty then

With no hint of pain or sorrow

So next I feel it’s my turn

And I place myself under the tree

And all the speckles cover me up

And show how beautiful shadows can be

Wow…
Your presence enhanced beauty of shadows….
You have high empathetic skills….
which is most essential for a successful poet….
Nice work….

this is beautifully written its awsome when the reader can feel just about
every word the poet is trying to convey, you've captured such imagery.

I liked the rhyming here, it was a nice natural poem. A sort of sleepy, lullaby song...
