Arachne's Web

Arachne's Web

A Poem by Tracie D'Angelo

The morning dew has settled
And has gently laid tiny pearls of moisture
Along the green grass blades
Along the black, cold, rod iron gate
Along the cars resting in their driveways
Nothing is more lovely than the spider web
Each intricate weave is laced in tiny droplets
It conjures thoughts of how our lives are so much like the seemingly fragile web
Built by our own hands
So fragile looking yet stronger than we let ourselves believe
An instrument to capture
Hopes
Dreams
Love
