What is a home

When you are thrown asunder?

What is to try

When you are destined to blunder?

What is love

When you do nothing but grieve?

What is forever

When she decides to leave?

A life planned out

Written in stone

A life slipped away

Left all alone.

This is simple yet powerful. Love the questions as if the speaker is trying to wrap their mind around a love lost. "What is forever whe she decides to leave?" Indeed, you'll find it simply wasn't meant to be.
