Mother Dear

Mother Dear

A Poem by T. Edana Talbott
"

This poem was written over a year ago, at the request of a friend. She needed a birthday gift for her mother and asked if I could write a poem for her to give to her mom.

"

Mother dear, mother dear,
Watched me grow through all these years.
Gave me hope, loved me so,
Oh, you’ve made a lovely home.

You were here, you’ve been here,
Through all my tears and countless fears.
Held me close, let me know,
That all the bad will cease to grow…

Mother dear, mother dear,
I think you deserve to hear,
You’re my hope, I need you so,
And my love for you shall never go...

simply stated ..deep emotion ..i am sure your friends mom fully appreciated both your efforts and her daughter for seeking you out .. i think the most important times in my life (looking back) are when I told my parents and then my wife and children ..how much i loved and appreciated them .. nothing can take those bright spots in ones life ;) well done says i!
