Ruins My Whole Flow

Ruins My Whole Flow

A Poem by T. Edana Talbott

The sun came up.

Waking up is hard enough,
Without your love.

I stretch and yawn.
Go and get the paper,
On my lawn.

And you drive by, in your red car,
With the girl you found at the closest bar,
And I,
I just miss you so!
Living without you,
Ruins my whole flow.

I shake and cry.
You fly right by,
I sigh…

And for her another ring you,
Buy!
Buy!
Buy!

And you drive by, in your red car,
With the girl you found at the closest bar,
And I,
I just miss you so!
Living without you,
Ruins my whole flow.

I cry, you fly right by.
I sigh, and for her another ring you,
Buy!
Buy!
Buy!

Author's Note

T. Edana Talbott
I wrote this when I was pretty darn young. It's about a girl who's forced to watch her ex - whom she is still attached to - prance around with his new fling. I think I wrote it in sort of a lyrical style.

You might just be surprised at how many don't need your explanation of the content - it comes across pretty clearly.

Repetition and the seeming chorus give the impression of lyrics.
