Stuck In A Mess Of A Mess

Stuck In A Mess Of A Mess

A Poem by T. Edana Talbott

You’re stuck in your head,
Stuck in a mess of a mess.

I can’t clean it up.

I can’t bring myself to touch,
Your face when it’s contorted,
Your heart is distorted.

I said I’d stay until I’m dead.
Now I’m stuck in a mess of a mess.

I can’t get out.

I can’t bring myself to leave,
Though I have lost all feeling,
Though I feel I’m no longer living.

So here we remain,
Stuck in a mess of a mess.

I can’t clean it up.

This dust is suffocating,
This love is nauseating.
