Misleading Smile
A Poem by
T. Edana Talbott
The touch of slumber, sleep and rest…
A peek it is to later death.
A love like yours, sweet and young,
A lie it is to be “the one”
That smile of yours, big and pure,
Warms me well, soft and sure,
That this is luck, surprising and fleeting…
Your smile now, to me, is misleading.

"Sometimes when i look up I see stars
that cut through the sky and fade quickly into nothingness
and i pray that you aren't as fleeting,
because when we're lying in roads i get the same feeling
