...To Be A Girl.A Poem by TeenRomance2A poem about girl/womanhood.What do you have to be, to be a girl? What if I stand up for myself? Does that make me a b***h? Would I be un-lady-like If I stretched and scratched an itch? And what about my female bands? “Angry chick“? Am I not a feminist anymore if I like to suck dick? But what if I complain? Would that make me weak? If I choose to be shy about pain would that prove I’m meek? What if I need help? Would that state I’m fragile? And in giving birth do I have to prove I’m agile? If I break the stereotypes would it mean I’m just disruptive? Does it instantly make me a s**t just to be seductive? To be a girl, do I walk on eggshells? Careful of pre-conceived notions? Tip-toeing through generalizations with my lipstick, my rifle, and lotions. YG © 2010 TeenRomance2Author's Note
