I was walking through the trees when I heard one say

They cut our woods and sell them away

When I heard them say my heart ached hard

How can they kill a tree with a heart

At that time my world stopped

When the flower said something for the trees who people chopped

"Oh, heartless people with a heart

Came to know what happens from the start"

After that incident I visited them everyday

And listened to their painful stories

All I want to say is just a line

Now whenever you cut a tree you'll have to fill a fine
