Hatred

Hatred

I feel it growing deep inside,
The burning that is in me,
I feel the rage always swelling,
Hatred gushes forth drowning all I see,
Like the red hot fire burning in me.

Hatred fuels my ever growing rage,
I lash out at any and everything around me,
Wishing to destroy the sorrow of a world that made me,
All in all I find my self raging against the tides of fate,
Anger fills me as I look down at my chains to you gave me.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
Only to dream of darkness and hate,
Waking in the night feeling the rage flowing,
Now it’s become time for me to release my rage,
I pry forgiveness for what I’ve done, Looking down to see the smoking gun.

Now the rage has left me, My hatred is finished.
Now I lay here and cry , begging for you to come alive.
I ask god to forgive me, I look down to see my chains are gone.
Now I’m free from my hatred, now the rage in my soul is gone.
But at what price?
