A Poem by Tepo

I see her everywhere I look
In every page of every book
My racing pulse has overtook
My patient hopes and dreams

I see her on the morning train
My eyes are playing tricks again
Is that her walking in the rain
That's soaking up my dreams

She's there in every fire's flame
My mouth had formed to call her name
This life will never be the same
She's dancing through my dreams

In every overcrowded hall
In every brick in every wall
I rise to over ten feet tall
To see her in my dreams

In every single show I see
She throws a flirty look at me
Around her neck a golden key
Unlocking all my dreams

This is just damn good from top to bottom. I'm a rhyme-aholic & I find your rhyme & rhythm to be some of the best done at the cafe. So smooth, so solid, yet not distracting from your strong message. You use simple rhymes, but never weak, like you're reaching. Sometimes when writers do repetition (finding a bunch of different ways to say the same thing) it's a fail for me, becuz it feels like restating the same thing over & over. What makes this work is becuz you find fresh interesting ways to say this differently each time (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
