PARIS MEAL 1973.

PARIS MEAL 1973.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A MAN AND WOMAN IN PARIS IN 1973.

"

Hemingway
they say ate
at this old

French cafe
Sonya says
and others

H. Miller
and other
artist types

and now us
I tell her
a waitress

brings our meal
lays them down
so gently

before us
I take note
of a glimpse

of her bra
where her blouse
is undone

she has eyes
dark as plums
Sonya sips

her white wine
I suck beer
from my glass

the waitress
walks away
I study

the beauty
and the sway
of her a*s.
