Mary And Her Fifth Boyfriend 1966

Mary And Her Fifth Boyfriend 1966

A Poem by Terry Collett

My latest boyfriend
thinks I'm a virgin,
said Mary,  if he knew
the truth I dare say
he'd dump me and
become a monk,
shutting out other girls,
and condemning me
to the darkest regions
of his concept of hell.

No sex, he said, untill
we're married. Mind you,
Mary said, I found his
sister more desirable,
she had a cute behind,
and spoke with a breathy
voice, and looked at me
with those big brown eyes
which I wanted to sink
into. But I stayed with him,
kept him in the dark, desired
him like boils on my bum,
and one could only be
deemed handsome by
someone quite blind.
