Miss pinkie and Lost Love 1973.

Miss pinkie and Lost Love 1973.

A Poem by Terry Collett

She lost out on that

no more love affair

that cheating b*****d

had betrayed her love

and bedded others

or so she assumed

well at least one b***h.

She lit cigarette

sipped sweet black coffee

tried to push him out

of her memory

unpicked his being

from fibres of skin

but still clung within

that sour taste in mouth.

She wanted him out

of her memory

but he was still there

no matter how much

she wished him long gone

but he remained there

like a sad love song.
