As Time Draws Near

This was written with a couple in mind. The husband has terminal cancer.

I’ll love you forever and always,

Whether we fall on fortune or misfortune.

Those true words of “I love you”,

Will hold us together.

And when the time comes,

I’ll reluctantly release you into Death’s and God's care.

But will I remember the good times we shared,

And I will always see your smiling face whenever I close my eyes.
