Poem

 

Everybody saying dirty words,

Bruising you inside, making it hurt.

It’s just another day,

Pretending you don't hear,

So just close your ears...

 

The friends you turn to are not the same

Now they lie and betray, but you’re to blame.

It’s just another pain you don't understand,

So just close your hand....

 

Your teachers think that you are dumb

You’re the class entertainment, for their fun.

They just can't see you

Because they’re blind,

So just close your mind....

 

School day's finally over, time to go home

But you are more afraid there and more alone.

That’s where they hurt you,

And make you cry

So just close your eyes....

 

There is a boy you love; he's your world

But today you find him kissing another girl.

He says it’s your fault

Leaves you to fall apart,

So just close your heart....

 

Who could you turn to, before you break?

It seems all your problems are your mistake.

Do you scream out?

No one’s cared before,

So you won't say a word....

 

Now you’re all bottled up and shattering,

You’ve held yourself together, through all the pain.

Just one more brick

To your vast wall,

They never knew you after all.

 

They call you weak, but are they right?

You chose to live another night.

Although is impossible

You can still dream,

You’re much stronger then it seems.

 

One day everything will change

Your strength will take you some place strange.

Where your light make shadows fade,

No longer ignored, you've broken free

Because you were stronger then they could see.
