The World In My Yard

The World In My Yard

A Poem by Thatch

I saw you standing in my mirror
A silver layer of unkempt hair
You drew me nearer with your stare
My hands, they couldn't hold you there

You smell like spring because spring's in you
The flowers all bloom back anew
And frosty mornings fill with dew
My icy sky glides into blue

Now rivers flow beneath your eyes
Deep limpid pools with pulling tide
Exploding nebulae reside
Beside the soul of one that I

Did try to find with heart and mind
But time unwound is time unkind
No rhyming phrase could scarce rewind
No wide-eyed groom or blushing bride

About
Hey guys! I sometimes write down any lines or paragraphs that come to me and I've built up a small collection over the years. I don't really show them to anyone so I thought I'd share some of them .. more..
