Inspire Me

Inspire Me

A Poem by The Lone Lady

Your smooth voice rolls from the

tounge and hits eardrums like beats.

Velvet accents of words drawn from

imaginary scenarios and sceneries.

I lean forward taking in every

succulent sensation of your language.

Soft, deep, vibrations of wisdom that

entice both the bitter and sweet.

Only asking you to be my guide...Inspire me.

...wow Chic! You always did have a way with words. Wish this brotha would speak to me... and if He has I hope I learn to be a better listener :)

Oh I love this. I love the sound of it, the feel of it, the wonderful flow. I love poems written in couplets and you handled this one very very well. You drew out my sensual voice to read this, right from the very first line and had me panting by the time I reached "succulant sensations". The only place I tripped a little was with "Velvet acents" (typo: should be 'accents').
