Forest of Fear

Forest of Fear

A Poem by E
"

A poem about a loss and how it affects people.

"

I've been in this forest for a days
But it feels like years
Dark and cold and lonely
It's left me filled with fear and despair
I wonder if my life will go back to normal
To the strange, brilliant thing it once was
As hard as I try, I'm still stuck here
Stuck in this damn forest of shadow and sorrow and hopelessness
I was flying high before
Travelling to a place of happiness
And now I'm wrecked
I'm not sure if anything can return to normal
If I'll be happy
If I'll be me again
It all just seems pointless
Why bother trying?
There's no reason now
It's all gone
