Wake Up Sleeping Beauty

Wake Up Sleeping Beauty

A Poem by Yvonne

I hate your prince charming

You sit there

Its really quite alarming

Ignoring your sisters

Waiting for his subjects to call you over

To save you that dance

To call you his lover

You’d been waiting for years

Baby don’t waste your time

You’re not his Cinderella

That boy he’s been lying

He’ll just lock you in his cellar

Restricting you down

Become his personal house maid

Freedom will not be allowed

Baby I can treat you better

Because princesses deserve

More than glass slippers

Take it from me

Who had been waiting

For prince charming for years

Finding out

I preferred you

Sleeping Beauty.
