The 28 Days

The 28 Days

A Poem by Rubein Geterminah
"

The 28 days bring driedness and little or no rain. This makes it difficult for the cattle's to graze.

"
The flowers're living dead
Their leaves're dusty and sad
In suppliant positions they seem
To plead to the rainmaker to deem
It necessary to drop little shower.

The cattles 're bulling
Empathy- that these gentle beasts pulling
Down dried leaves to munch
No fertile grazing to hunt
As they endure the agonises of the 28 days.

It sounds like misery for the animals without water and of course with the landscape suffering it takes it's toll. Domino effect. A severe drought can crush futures for so many depending on crops and cattle. We're all pawns in her hand just waiting to be played. Nature that is. Nice job my friend. I enjoyed reading it.
