Never Let Anger Win!

Never Let Anger Win!

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar
"

November 15, 2020 I vowed to respond and not react. I have to stop damaging my character for selfish gain that did not involve betterment of my being or others. Never let anger win!

"
I can’t keep letting these folks get to me.
It’s like I give my all into negativity.
I’d lose it all to my FIERY, because I let the MISERY of others get to me.
Bringing forth hate to procreate in a world that’s dying for my energy.
I’m full of love and passion but I’m using it’s enemy!
I know my feelings are valid but my actions aren’t reciprocating.
I JUST WISH IT WAS ONE PERSON WHO COULD GET TO ME!
I’ve been fighting a war..
BUT it’s within ME!

I feel that many are experiencing this type of strong anger during these times. A very introspective type that builds slowly into the soul. Like an ember that smolders more and more with each passing day. Because we wallow in the misery of others that influence our own heart with its negative emotion. As it coalesce with our own fears and frail thoughts. This very truthful piece speaks to what many are going through coming back from these days of pestilence and disease. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
