The Human Body

The Human Body

A Poem by TheDuraMater

The human body is so f*****g gross
Though as I age my fondess just grows
And I don't know where your tired arms have been
But I wanna see where they go

Like eyes that forget to peel
And your skin eventually dries
It falls off in every little shape
As the beauty queen cries

It's something to destroy with
You can create something scary
But it's also fun to toy with
If you try not to act wary

It's something to destroy with
Then the next second it's art
And I can feel you inside
More tired than your heart

I hope I've tried to destroy you
As badly as you have me
And maybe that's what love is
Healing with intent to bleed

My body will distort and change
But I guess the blood will stay the same
And I don't know where your tired arms have been
But I wanna see where they go
