Dim Street LIghts

Dim Street LIghts

A Poem by TheEvilSoul
"

This poem is about a woman who lost her love to death years ago. She finally gathered the courage to go to the place she met him for the very first time and relive that magical experience yet again.

"
The city is alive
but I'm walking alone
where I walked with you once before

The city is shining
but I'm a little dim
the outcast in the city of love and life, the only one with a fake smile

The city is crowded
but I stumble upon that little shop
where I met you, a man who was just as dim as me in this lit road

The city is huge
but I look at it's smallest model in the snowball
the power went down, the lights went low
And just then even if it was for a second
I saw a glance of you in the snowball under the dim street lights
