Levelled Heart

Post Break-Up Poem

One's heartily desire is not allowed
To be within hold of one's grasp
But what is foretold is that
The levelled heart will be shattered

Aching rivers of one's thoughts
Free flowing through and fro
When the realisation struck
The damage was set and left to pain

Endless hurt and needless sorrow
Devours one's sense of being
What is left is like a smashed mirror
Unrepairable pieces left scattered

One can try to reverse
The shattering of one's heart
They may do so with success
Or leave one with anarchy inside
