Riding Away

Riding Away

A Poem by The Glassface

I went riding

Down six feet tall

I came running

A little bit small

They say love,

make a man chase any dream

Well I say love

Crushed more than they seen

Sold friends for fortune

When they had given it all

Spend more nights

Looking down at abyssal call

Howling windows

Scream gunfire from the light

Saw a man once

Wanted to end my very life

Held time in shackles

So I could hide from the past

Came with two instead

I fled just as fast

Where it all going?

When will I ever get to know?

When does peace come?

When can I sit back and enjoy the show?

I can't keep up

With all the pain in the day

So I keep riding,

Until I find what's right I pray.
