The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by Sibling
"

Allegedly a poem. About something.

"
It was such a beautiful day.
The sun was out - it was rather hot.
The clouds were a powdery white,
The skies were a beautiful blue
Only the sky could be.
The heat had passed its zenith
Yet, we laid defeated...
But suddenly, it all went grey.

A monochrome kidnapped the scenery.
The heavy-looking dark clouds overpowered the white
And the sun was shoved into the background
The by-standing winds began to rear their face
With anger as their manner changed...
Then, the first strike!

Blinding blue light from the heavens descended -
A flash to begin the festivities.
Then, the loudest drums ever heard began to beat
Without rhythm as the winds whistled an eerie melody
The trees danced violently -
Some lost leaves, others fell with loud thuds: dead.
Then we felt the thick silver drops of the star's blood
On our heads as we got wet.

Suddenly, as quickly as it had begun, it ended.
The large grey clouds cleared
And the afternoon renewed the morning's essence.
The sun is setting and the baby-blue skies
Begin to grow pink in the horizon.

Great contrast in weather. Would compare this to life when everything is all good, and all of a sudden an issue pops up. Great job.
