I have a friend.. far far away.. She is suffering.. fighting for what she believes in.. From here, all I can give is hope.. words of support...

** Prologue **

I once knew a girl... beautiful and clever

With deep brown eyes... that could pierce me like  a spear

Now she is suffering....  fighting for a lost cause

Hanging on to memories.... of love that was. .

Her absence.. it makes me quiver. .

More than her tears... it's her silence that I fear.

You will not  be alone,  never. ..

I will be here for you forever. .

If there ever comes a day.

Filled with sadness, or with fear. .

Remember,  I will be here for you forever. 

If life pulls you down. . 

Don't shed a tear. .

Just remember,  your friend will be here for you.. forever. .

Time will fly by...

And you will forget me my dear. .

Yet,  I will be here for you.. forever. .

When Time comes calling. .

And my end is near. .

I will have a smile on my face. .

I was here for you.. forever.

I admire how you care for your friend. And your promise to be there for her forever- that was so awesome. She is so lucky to have you, yet it seems it's different when you are not with her. It's different when you can actually lean on one's shoulder, hold his hand, cry in his presence, and listen to his words.

I haven't read something like this in a while, it is a lost sentiment even. It really does take me to Rilke's "Letters to a young poet" feeling. In were acceptance and friendship, and an invitation to entertain equanimity and to embrace fear. I know this will not even make sense but would you believe that I felt sequential logic involved in it? Seeing your line of work I'm sure you might be more than versed on the subject. A series of lines with If then , if not. A hearfelt concept and intriguing structure an embracing dialogue.

"We must accept our reality as vastly as we possibly can; everything, even the unprecedented, must be possible within it. This is in the end the only kind of courage that is required of us: the courage to face the strangest, most unusual, most inexplicable experiences that can meet us." - Rilke.

Sequential logic.. Never thought about it when I was writing this.. I do see it now. It makes perfect sense :)... All I need to do is put the lines in "while(true)" :P.
