1. I hate boxes.

2. Burn all the boxes.

3. No more thinking inside the box.

4. No more thinking outside the box.

5. More thinking.

Just kind of getting fed up with these lame formats I have to keep following for school. I wrote a couple anti-essays for good measure.

Nice, and clever! Formats for essays? I was originally against using specific poetic forms myself, but I had a great instructor who showed me the magic of using forms well -- maybe some self-exploration of the forms available would help you?

Well, I haven't had any formal poetry instruction. You can probably tell because all my poems are different. I don't know, I just write until I'm done. Whatever comes out, comes out. Sometimes it's one sentence, or rap lyrics, or a dialogue, children's rhyme, etc. They're all different.

That's totally awesome! I wasn't at all suggesting that you need formal training (I think real writing comes from the heart, not from a class) -- what I meant more was that if you explore lots of poetic styles, rhyme schemes, and poem structures, you may find a form that speaks to you.
