Purgatory

Purgatory

A Poem by t.m.

It felt like home.

It was home, once.

But that was so long ago, how can you still remember?

We've all changed by now.

I don't remember the negativity that radiates from you, or the condescension that falls from your mouth in the form of malicious words designed to sting and take residence just below the surface of my skin where they fester and create doubt and fear.

Perhaps I've just been away for too long.

Maybe I've forgotton my roots; my reason for the way that I am.

Or could it be that the blindness and blissful ignorance that plagues the rest of them has been removed from my own being?

~ i'm reading this post from a brand new perspective... and i think it's beautifully written... it's poignant and powerful... these are the questions we need to ask ourselves... these are the issues we need to confront... ultimately, we branch out of our roots... dream new dreams and work towards makin' 'em come true...
~ you are a very gifted writer... the more you write, the more you will see what your purpose is... and work towards the life you want... ~ you will cease to be stranded in any way...

I felt this one, it resonates truth and detonates reality's realizations of past grievances. Much enjoyed!

'blindness and blissful ignorance' -- struth. homecoming. 'eradicated from my own soul' -- so you are Jesus or something?
