power of a name+

power of a name+

A Poem by t.m.
"

it didn't take my breath away. it wasn't that graceful.

"

it took the air out of my lungs

when she said your name

so casually

almost naturally

and I knew.

i'm not sure if I lost you

or if I never had you

i'm not sure if you knew

but I think you've always had me.

one day maybe

you'll give it a try

and you'll ask to hear your name

that casually

that naturally

from me

and you'll know.

I really like this. It's simple but yet brings me back to old memories and also probably had a different meaning for most who read this.

:: i can't begin to tell you how much i related to this moving and poignant poem... it's a sentiment that most of us have experienced but you're the one who's expressed it so brilliantly...

Yes, it is difficult to work through, though, isn't it? And thank you.

yes it is...but love always remembers .. a pleasure to read your writing
A sincere out-pouring. Thank you for sharing. I'm so sorry... I've been there. I still am there. It's like an ice-dagger that can't be removed.
